Goodreads description :
Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.
The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war-- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
In this electrifying debut, Tahereh Mafi presents a world as riveting asThe Hunger Games and a superhero story as thrilling as The X-Men. Full of pulse-pounding romance, intoxicating villainy, and high-stakes choices, Shatter Me is a fresh and original dystopian novel—with a paranormal twist—that will leave readers anxiously awaiting its sequel.
My Thought :
Juliet has an ability to kill someone with her touch. Everyone think she is a monster and she has been locked away for 264 days. During that time, she never touch anyone, until she met Adam, someone from her past who is sent by Warner. Warner is interested in Juliet's power. He want to use her power to torture his enemy. She is held captive by Warner. As time goes by, Juliet and Adam become closer they want to escape from Warner. Can they escape from Warner ? And what if Adam is not the only one who immune to her power ?
Shatter Me is an intriguing book. I like the author's writing style, it's so beautiful. And the strikethrough print make the book more interesting. The book has some great characters. Juliet is just a broken girl who want to better. When we read the book, we can she the war inside her mind. Adam is a right match for Juliet. He is such a lovable character. I like how their relationship develop and how Adam try to to gain Juliet's trust. And there's Warner, the evil guy who is obsessed with her power. He grows up in loveless family. Actually, I feel sympathy for him. The ending of the book remind me of X-Men, because they're very similar. Overall, I enjoy the book and can't wait for the next book. I highly recommend to book to everyone.
I give Shatter Me 4 out of 5 stars.

This one definitely had an x-men type feel to it at the end there, and I kind of liked that about it because it wasn't what I expected going in! Glad you enjoyed this one too:)
