Goodreads Description :
As her country erupts in open rebellion, Lena fights for the resistance and must make a heartbreaking choice between two loves.
After saving Julian from a death sentence, Lena escapes with him and other members of the resistance. But as she embraces her love for Julian, a boy from her past returns and causes her to question everything.
In the meantime, Lena's best friend, Hana, is engaged to Portland's young mayor and is living a safe, proscribed, loveless life. The story is told from both Lena and Hana's points of view.
As Lena struggles to save the people she loves, everything comes to a head in this exciting finale to Lauren Oliver's epic trilogy. REQUIEM is a sophisticated, wide-ranging novel that explores the large issues of society, government, and resistance, and of course, there is romance.

Review :
After read Pandemonium, I was really excited to read this one. This is one of my most anticipated books of 2013. I'm not really sure what to say about Requiem. My emotion is still all over the place after read the book. For me, Requiem is not only the best book from Delirium series, but also the cruelest book.
Requiem started from where Pandemonium left off. The book was told from Lena's and Hana's POV. I love the switch of POV. Hana was an interesting character. After Delirium, I always wondered what happened to Hana and Grace, so I was glad when I met them again in Requiem. I love the writing style, it's beautiful and intense. The book is full of action. The twists and turns keep me hooked.
I love the characters in this books. I thought Alex was annoying at the beginning of this book, but in the end I could understand why he did it. He wasn't the same Alex we met in Delirium. I like Julian more in this book. He tried so hard to adapt to this new life. From all of the characters, I love Lena the most. She was brave and strong. I love how different she was now. When we read Hana's POV, we could see how much she changed from a girl who was content with the life the government choose for her to a girl who fought to get what she want. In this book, Lena was torn between Alex and Julian. We could see that Lena was still in love with Alex, so it was not really a surprise when he end up with him. In my opinion, she treated Julian like a child and it was because she felt guilty for dragging him to the Wild.
The only complaint I had about this book was the ending. I need a closure because I didn't really like an ending that left me hanging like this one. In some way, I can understand why she ended the story like this. I was just curious about several characters from this book, so an epilogue would be great. Despite of everything, I really love the book (and the other books from this series) and highly recommend the series to everyone.
I didn't want to give 5 stars for this book because the ending, but I couldn't do that. The rest of story made up for the ending, so I gave the book 5 out of 5 stars.
“We wanted the freedom to love. We wanted the freedom to choose.
Now we have to fight for it.”
